Donations instead of gifts: In the spirit of community.

This initiative was an immediate hit. After all, what could be more fitting for Christmas than a strong sign of solidarity and solidarity? So a new concept was born: all employees were allowed to suggest organizations and actively participate in the distribution of the donation budget. Every vote counted – and many small decisions developed into one big whole.

In the end, a rounded donation budget of 10,000 euros was raised, which will now benefit organizations that do valuable work in the region:

• 3,500 euros for the Kaiserslautern children’s hospice, which supports families in the most difficult times.
• 2,500 euros for the Kaiserslautern animal shelter, which gives animals protection and a new chance.
• 2,000 euros for the Kaiserslautern women’s shelter, which provides a safe place for women in need.
• 2,000 euros for Caritas’ Glockestubb, which lovingly cares for people who are otherwise all too often overlooked.

Especially at Christmas time, it is touching when an idea turns into real support – when a feeling of solidarity arises from “donations instead of gifts”

But commitment is not a seasonal gesture at SWK. It shines far beyond the festive season. As an energy partner of the Palatinate, we are committed to social institutions in Kaiserslautern and the region all year round. The response from our employees shows us that this is the right approach: collaborative, appreciative and with an eye for the people around us.
