Federal funding program: Up to €2,000 subsidy per new e-charging parking space

The Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) has been promoting the expansion of charging infrastructure in multi-party buildings since April 15, 2026. It is supporting the purchase and installation of non-public systems. The aim is to accelerate electromobility. Charging facilities should be available where people live. SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern is supporting the implementation as the Palatinate’s local energy partner.

Municipal heat planning – 15th Lautr Energy Forum

SWK’s water traffic light provides early information on the status of the drinking water supply. It will remain green in March 2026. An important criterion for the water traffic light is the level of the Lauterspring spring, which we constantly monitor.

Seismic measurements for geothermal energy in the region completed

The vibro-trucks have been on the road in Kaiserslautern and the surrounding area since November 13, 2025. After almost four weeks, we were able to complete the measurements on December 9, 2025. The small orange-grey plastic cubes (geophones) that were distributed everywhere have already been collected again.

The science series “Kammgarn + SWK x Science” enters its second year with the Science Slam on February 11, 2026. Kammgarn Kaiserslautern and SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern already presented fascinating live experiments, unusual lectures and new entertaining formats in 2025.

Charging stations Südwest expands e-charging network in the city and region

Charging points for charging electric vehicles are important for the energy transition. Drivers of electric cars want to be able to “refuel” on the go. Ladestationen Südwest is driving this development forward. SWK has been part of this cooperation since the beginning of the year.
