Charging stations Südwest expands e-charging network in the city and region
Charging points for charging electric vehicles are important for the energy transition. Drivers of electric cars want to be able to “refuel” on the go. Ladestationen Südwest is driving this development forward. SWK has been part of this cooperation since the beginning of the year.

Eight strong municipal utilities from the region are joining forces to promote e-mobility in the southwest. With over 260 charging points, we offer you a reliable network for your electromobile future and are constantly growing. With the help of our combined expertise, we want to anchor the comprehensive charging infrastructure in the region. The following successful installations of charging points show that we are moving e-mobility in the region in the right direction with this cooperation.
New at Altenhof - e-shop at the Sparkasse
Since October 2025, four charging points from Ladestationen Südwest have been located in the underground parking garage of Sparkasse Kaiserslautern at Altenhof. Sparkasse customers and anyone parking in the public underground car park can now charge their e-vehicles conveniently and cheaply. With a charging capacity of 22 kW on the vehicle side, many e-vehicles can charge for a range of around 100 km in just 45 minutes.
Hartmut Rohden, member of the Management Board of Sparkasse Kaiserslautern, talks about the motivation behind the expanded service offering in the short video.
Expansion of the charging infrastructure on the Bännjerrück

Until now, the public charging options for drivers of electric cars on Bännjerrück, a popular residential area in Lautr, were very limited. Charging stations Südwest expanded the range in August 2025. This pleases people in the neighborhood and visitors alike.
The location of the charging stations at the CAP supermarket allows e-car drivers to kill two birds with one stone: charging and shopping. Basically, anyone can charge up electrically here. In the short video, Thomas Schieck, Managing Director of Kittelberger Immobilienverwaltung GmbH, explains the advantages of the charging option.
The energy transition in the region - Winnweiler also benefits

Mayor Rudolf Jacob from the municipality of Winnweiler is pleased that the approximately 5,000 inhabitants can experience the energy transition up close. A single public charging station was far too few. With the six new charging points from Ladestationen Südwest, centrally located at the MVZ, e-mobility is gaining momentum. The video shows how satisfied the mayor and municipality are with the improved infrastructure.
