Federal funding program: Up to €2,000 subsidy per new e-charging parking space
The Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) has been promoting the expansion of charging infrastructure in multi-party buildings since April 15, 2026. It is supporting the purchase and installation of non-public systems. The aim is to accelerate electromobility. Charging facilities should be available where people live. SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern is supporting the implementation as the Palatinate's local energy partner.

Power plant expansion 2020 to 2022
The modernization of our combined heat and power plant in Karcherstrasse was a milestone for the climate. A new substation was built, new chimneys were installed and four new state-of-the-art gas turbines were installed. In addition, three striking heat storage tanks were added.
